Chocolate Pecan Shortbread Mix in a Jar

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
• 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Layer the ingredients in a 1-quart jar.
2. Attach the following recipe on a gift tag:

Chocolate Pecan Shortbread

Cream 2 sticks of softened butter until light and fluffy. Blend in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Add contents of jar and mix well; dough will be stiff. Press dough into 13 x 9 inch pan.

Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely.

Cut into bars. Store in a tightly covered container.
