Fresh Apple Cake with Penuche Frosting




Penuche Frosting


  1. Cake: Bake for one hour in a tube pan at 325 degrees F.
  2. Frost after cooling completely.
  3. Penuche Frosting: Stir over low heat, then bring rapidly to a full boil. Boil for 1 minute at 220 degrees F.
  4. Remove from heat and beat to consistency for spreading.
