Independence Day Recipes
Red, White and Blue Pizza
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 pint strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 pint blueberries
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon granulated sugar, divided
- 1 tablespoon brandy
- 4 (6 inch) pizza crusts, homemade or store bought
- 1 1/2 cups whipped topping, thawed
Instructions
- Heat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Combine strawberries, blueberries, 1 teaspoon sugar and the brandy.
- Sprinkle pizza crust with the remaining sugar.
- Bake for 6-8 minutes on baking sheet; cool slightly.
- Arrange fresh strawberries and blueberries on top.
- Serve with a big dollop of whipped topping.
