  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle chile pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1/2 pound uncooked chorizo sausage
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 ounces Widmer’s One Year Cheddar cheese, cut into 6 (1 ounce) slices)
  • 6 ounces V&V Supremo Queso Chihuahua® Quesadilla cheese, cut into 6 (1 ounce) slices
  • 1 cup refried beans, warmed
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 6 whole wheat buns, split
  • 1 1/2 cups pico de gallo, drained

Instructions

  1. Grease grill grate. Heat grill to medium.

  3. Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes on each side or until a thermometer inserted into patties reads 160 degrees F.
  4. Top with Cheddar and queso quesadilla. Cover and cook for 1 to 3 minutes longer or until cheeses are melted.
  5. Spread refried beans and guacamole on bun bottoms; top with burgers and pico de gallo. Replace bun tops.
