Easy Macaroni and Cheese recipe

Equipment

  • Instant Pot®

Ingredients

  • 3 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups mild or medium Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the macaroni in the Instant Pot.
  2. Add garlic powder, salt, paprika and water.
  3. Close the lid; set to pressure cook on high for 4 minutes.
  4. After the pressure cook cycle is complete do a (QR) quick release.
  5. Carefully unlock and remove the lid and switch to low saute setting.
  6. Add the evaporated milk and Cheddar cheese. Stir constantly until the cheese is completely melted.
  7. Sprinkle some toasted bread crumbs over the top, if desired.
  8. Serve hot.
