Fruit of the Vine Stroganoff
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup dry red wine
- 1/2 to 1 cup water
- 1 1 /2 cups sour cream
Instructions
- Brown ground beef and onions.
- Sauté mushrooms in butter. Add to ground beef and onion. Add wine and water. Simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add sour cream just before serving (do not boil).
- Serve over cooked noodles.
