Chicken-Sauerkraut Bake


  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 (16 ounce) package deli sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 to 1 cup barbecue sauce


  1. Spread sauerkraut evenly on bottom of ungreased 11 x 7-inch baking pan.
  2. Place chicken on top, sprinkle with garlic powder.
  3. Spread barbecue sauce over chicken.
  4. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for about 1 hour until chicken is done.
  5. Serve with buttered boiled potatoes.
