Polynesian Chicken




  1. Combine salt, paprika and flour. Lightly coat chicken.
  2. Heat shortening in a large skillet. Sauté chicken until golden brown on all sides.
  3. Mix the orange juice, brown sugar, vinegar, basil and nutmeg in a bowl.
  4. Add to chicken. Cover and simmer 35 to 40 minutes until chicken is tender.
  5. Add peaches and simmer 5 more minutes.
  6. Serve.
