Nut Balls Spaghetti Sauce

  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup cashews, chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted peanuts
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 3/4 cup egg substitute
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 4 cups spaghetti sauce

  1. Place the sunflower seeds, cashews and peanuts in a blender and grind them. The size of the pieces is not very important, but make sure they are not too big.
  2. Place the ground nuts in a medium-size bowl and add the bread crumbs, eggs, garlic powder, celery seed, and basil. Mix well and shape the mixture into small balls.
  3. Place the spaghetti sauce in a large kettle and bring to a gentle simmer. Drop the balls into the sauce. Cover and let simmer for about 15 minutes.
  4. Serve with your favorite pasta.
