Heinz Classic Family Meat Loaf


  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup Heinz Ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper


  1. Combine ingredients thoroughly; form into an 8 x 4-inch loaf in shallow baking pan.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
  3. Let meat loaf stand 5 minutes before slicing.
  4. Serve with additional ketchup.

Makes 6 servings.
