My Mother's Meatloaf

My mother's original recipe...family favorite! We love this with scalloped potatoes.

Ingredients

Meatloaf

  • 1 1/4 pounds ground beef
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Sauce

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Meatloaf: Mix and press into 8-inch square pan.
  2. Sauce: Pour over meat, bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees F.
