- 4 (4 ounce) boneless pork chops, 3/4-inch thick
- Vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Chunky applesauce with cinnamon
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brush chops lightly
with oil, and brown on both sides, turning once, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Sprinkle pepper over the chops; add broth, lemon juice, and chunky
applesauce with cinnamon. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer gently
for 5 minutes.
In place of applesauce, you may use broccoli and cheese or
salsa and cheese.
