Elk Mincemeat




  1. Cook meat, suet, brown sugar, molasses, cider, raisins, currants and citron slowly, stirring occasionally, until sugar and citron melt.
  2. Add apples and cook until tender.
  3. Add remaining ingredients; heat to boiling.
  4. Pour into hot jars; seal and store.

Makes 20 pints.
