Venison Swiss Steak

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 pounds venison steaks
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 tablespoon A-1 steak sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 20-inch square aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Place foil in 9 x 13-inch baking pan and spread with butter.
  2. Arrange steaks on foil and sprinkle with onion soup, green pepper slices and mushrooms.
  3. Stir cornstarch and steak sauce into tomato juice and pour over meat.
  4. Fold over foil, seal tightly and bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees F.
