Sweet and Spicy Pecans
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 to 2 teaspoons ground chipotle
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups pecan halves
- Combine sugar, water, ground chiles and salt in saucepan and cook over medium
heat until syrup spins a thread (232 degrees F on a candy thermometer).
- Remove from heat.
- Add pecans, stirring until well coated.
