Buttery Swiss Cheese Canapés
Ingredients
- 16 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 1 (16 ounce) loaf French or Italian bread, cut into 32 slices
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine the cheese, butter, green onions, mustard and poppy seeds in a medium
mixing bowl and mix well. Spread some of the cheese mixture on each of the bread
slices.
- Arrange the slices in a single layer on an 11 x 17-inch baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until bubbly.
Yield: 32 servings
May chill the cheese mixture and serve with assorted party crackers.
