Clay Cinnamon Decorations
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups cinnamon
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1/3 cup white school glue
Instructions
- Mix the cinnamon, applesauce, and glue together in large batter bowl. Remove
from bowl and knead until it turn into a firm "clay." Refrigerate
30 minutes.
- Dust mold lightly with cinnamon (it is not necessary to spray the mold before
dusting). Tap side to remove any excess cinnamon. Break off a piece of dough
and press firmly into the mold. If the dough is sticky, dust hands with cinnamon
before pressing dough into mold. Use knife to trim off extra dough. Holding
mold upright, sharply rap on edge of a protected surface (cutting board with
folded towel works well) 3 times or until dough starts to fall out. Carefully
peel the clay out of the mold and place it on a flat surface. Use a plastic
drinking straw to poke a hole at the top of the cookie decoration.
- Place Clay Cinnamon Decoration on a cooling rack and allow to dry for about
5 days.
