Macaroni Pie


  • 32 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  3. Beat eggs and milk together.
  4. Pour half of the cooked macaroni into 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  5. Cover macaroni with half of the cheese.
  6. Pour remaining macaroni into baking dish leaving a little room at the top.
  7. Cover with remaining cheese.
  8. Pour egg mixture over macaroni.
  9. Sprinkle with salt.
  10. Bake for one hour or until a knife inserted comes out clean.

Yield: 8 servings
