Original Vanilla Bones (for dogs)




  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix the flours and baking soda in a medium bowl.
  3. Mix the broth, margarine and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Stir the broth mixture into the flour mixture and knead briefly.
  5. Turn out onto a floured board and roll out to about 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with a bone shaped cookie cutter.
  6. Transfer cookies to a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until browned.

Makes about 2 dozen.
