Pine Cone Bird Feeders

Pine Cone Bird Feeders are great. Near Prescott, Arizona I found some of the largest pine cones I have ever seen. The birds sure get a lot of food out of those!

Ingredients

  • Large pine cones
  • Peanut butter
  • Bird Seed
  • String or twine

Instructions

  1. Apply the peanut butter to the pine cone with a table knife, pushing the peanut butter in between the petals of the cone.
  2. Roll the cone in a pan of bird seed. Shake off the excess.
  3. Tie the string around the base or top of cone. Hang from a tree branch.
