World's Fastest Peach Cobbler



  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 cups peaches, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract


  1. Combine peaches and 1 cup sugar.
  2. Add spices and bring to a boil.
  3. Melt butter in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  4. Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, and milk. Mix well and pour over melted butter. Do not stir!
  5. Pour peaches and sugar mixture over batter.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown crust has formed.
