Apple Dumpling Crisp

  • 8 medium apples
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour


  1. Wash and peel apples; cut into pieces. Place in medium bowl.
  2. Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg over apples, then mix in.
  3. Bring margarine to room temperature in a small bowl; add brown sugar and flour. Mix together until crumbly. Pour over apples.
  4. Bake in a 2-quart baking dish at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
