Never Fail Pie Crust



  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1/2 cup ice cold water


  1. Cut shortening into flour and salt until crumbly.
  2. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
  3. Make into 3 balls.
  4. Wrap each ball in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Yield: 3 crusts
