Brownie Ice Cream Pie
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces (1 1/2 squares) unsweetened chocolate
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 quart pistachio, mocha or vanilla ice cream
- Cool Whip
- Shaved chocolate
Instructions
- Melt chocolate and butter in top of double boiler.
- Cool slightly; add sugar.
- In a bowl beat eggs until foamy; add chocolate mixture and continue beating.
- Fold in nuts.
- Pour into a greased 9 inch pie plate and bake at 325 degrees F for about 35 minutes.
- When cool, fill with ice cream.
- Freeze.
- To serve, top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with shaved chocolate.
