Mississippi Mud Pie

Instructions

  1. Crush chocolate wafers and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in large frying pan over low heat.
  3. Add crushed wafers and toss in butter to coat well.
  4. Press crumb mixture into a 9-inch pie plate and allow to cool.
  5. Soften ice cream and spoon onto wafer crust.
  6. Freeze until firm.
  7. Top with cold fudge sauce. Store in freezer about 8 to 10 hours.
  8. Remove from freezer and allow to stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
  9. To serve, top with whipped cream and sliced almonds or chocolate curls.
