Stroganoff Deep Dish Pie


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 1/2 cup cold water


  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  2. Cook and stir ground beef and onion until beef is brown; drain.
  3. Mix sour cream, ketchup, eggs and soup until well blended.
  4. Stir in beef mixture and mushrooms.
  5. Mix biscuit baking mix and water until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 20 strokes. Press dough in bottom and 1 inch up sides of pan with fingers floured with baking mix. Spread beef mixture over dough.
  6. Bake until crust is light brown and beef mixture is set, about 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Yield: 6 servings
