French Bread Pizza
Yield: 6 to 8 servings
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (16 ounce) can pizza sauce
- 1 (8 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 pound loaf French bread
- 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
- Toppings: pepperoni, olives, bell pepper, sausage, ground beef (as desired)
Instructions
- In a medium skillet, brown beef; drain.
- Stir in pizza sauce and mushrooms. Set aside.
- Cut bread in half lengthwise, then into eight pieces.
- Spread meat sauce on bread.
- Place on greased baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Use any toppings desired or none at all.
- Bake uncovered at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
