Lumpy Pan Pizza

End a bumpy day with easy lumpy pizza. Customize this one-dish meal by using cooked Italian sausage or ground beef instead of the pepperoni.

Lumpy Pan Pizza

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated flaky biscuits
  • 1 (8 ounce) can pizza sauce
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) finely shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 16 slices (1 1/2 inches in diameter) pepperoni

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Separate biscuit dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces; place in medium bowl.
  3. Add pizza sauce and 1 cup of the cheese; toss to coat.
  4. Spread mixture in ungreased 9 inch square (2 quart) glass baking dish.
  5. Top with pepperoni and remaining 1 cup cheese.
  6. Bake for 22 to 28 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

If you like additional toppings, try sprinkling with sliced mushrooms or sliced green onions with or in place of the pepperoni. Garnish the finished “lumpy” pizza with chopped fresh basil.
