Almond Toffee Popcorn

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup toasted almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup popcorn, popped

Instructions

  1. In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, water and almonds. Cook over moderate heat to 280 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
  2. Add the vanilla extract. Stir well and pour over the popped corn.
