Ingredients

  • 2 cups cake flour, sifted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup shortening, melted

Instructions

  1. Measure sifted flour into sifter.
  2. Add baking powder, salt and sugar.
  3. Beat eggs in bowl.
  4. Add milk and blend.
  5. Sift dry ingredients into mixture gradually.
  6. Add melted shortening. Beat with mixer.
  7. Bake on hot griddle.
