Fried Grits Patties
- 1/3 cup grits
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- Paper towels
- Prepare grits according to the package directions.
- Stir in flour, salt, pepper and egg; mix well.
- In a skillet, Drop tablespoonsful into hot oil, then flatten slightly with a
spatula, and brown on both sides.
- Drain on paper towels.
Yield: 4 servings
