Vidalia Onion Casserole


  • 1 quart chopped Vidalia onions
  • 3/4 stick margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated sharp cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Crackers


  1. Grease 2-quart casserole.
  2. Crumble a layer of cracker crumbs in bottom of dish.
  3. Sauté onions in margarine. Place on top of crumbs; salt and pepper.
  4. Beat eggs. Add water; pour over onions. Top with cheese.
  5. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F.
