Grape Salad

Grape Salad is a much loved salad in the southern United States.

Grape Salad

Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 pounds white, seedless grapes
  • 2 pounds red, seedless grapes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix sour cream, cream cheese, granulated sugar and vanilla extract until well blended.
  2. Fold in grapes and place in a sealable container.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and pecans together and sprinkle over the salad or, if not using brown sugar, just sprinkle the pecans over the salad. Chill overnight.
