Trifle Fruit Salad
Ingredients
Salad
- 2 small cans mandarin oranges
- 3 or 4 bananas, sliced
- 1 to 1 1/2 quarts strawberries
- 1 (15 ounce) can pineapple chunks
- 4 or 5 kiwi, sliced
Topping
- 1 1/4 cups milk or fruit juice
- 1 (3 3/4 ounce) box instant pudding mix
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained (optional)
Instructions
- Using a trifle bowl, layer fruits, starting with oranges.
- Add bananas, then pineapple.
- Slice strawberries over pineapple.
- Cover with topping and place kiwi on top.
- In a medium bowl, combine milk or juice and sour cream; blend well.
- Add pudding mix, beating until well blended.
- Stir in crushed pineapple, if desired.
- Spoon pudding mixture over fruit within 1 inch of the edge.
- Cover and refrigerate for several hours to blend flavors.
