Orange Layered Salad

Method

  1. Bottom Layer: Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
  2. Drain pineapple and reserve juice for top layer. Add drained pineapple and orange juice.
  3. Pour into a mold (which should be half full) and chill until firm.
  4. Top Layer: Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
  5. Add pineapple juice. When it begins to thicken, add cream cheese (add a little milk or cream to soften), whipped cream and pinch of salt.
  6. Pour on top of orange layer and chill until firm.
  7. Serve on a lettuce leaf.
