Corn and Green Pea Salad

This is good for a picnic or a casual meal.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can small green peas
  • 1 can shoe peg corn
  • 1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped

Instructions

  1. Boil vegetable oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper.
  2. Let cool, then pour over vegetables and let stand overnight.
