Shredded Cabbage with Sour Cream Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Combine shredded cabbage, salt, onion and water in saucepan. Cover and bring to boil quickly; reduce heat and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened. Pour over cooked cabbage and serve with cooked vegetables such as green beans or summer squash.
