Shredded Cabbage with Sour Cream Dressing
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Combine shredded cabbage, salt, onion and water in saucepan. Cover and bring to boil quickly; reduce heat and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Combine remaining ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened. Pour over cooked cabbage and serve with cooked vegetables such as green beans or summer squash.
