Salad and Salad Dressing Recipes
Tomato Aspic
Shrimp, black olives, stuffed olives, artichoke hearts, cucumber slices or cream cheese balls may be added.
Yield: 10 to 12 servings
Ingredients
- 4 envelopes unflavored gelatine
- 1 (46 ounce) can V-8 juice
- 4 teaspoons finely chopped purple onion
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Tabasco sauce, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Soften gelatine in 2 cups V-8 for 5 minutes, then heat to dissolve.
- Add remaining V-8, onion, lemon juice and seasonings.
- Pour into a large ring mold, individual molds or loaf pan and refrigerate until set.
