Tomato Aspic

Shrimp, black olives, stuffed olives, artichoke hearts, cucumber slices or cream cheese balls may be added.

Yield: 10 to 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 envelopes unflavored gelatine
  • 1 (46 ounce) can V-8 juice
  • 4 teaspoons finely chopped purple onion
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Tabasco sauce, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Soften gelatine in 2 cups V-8 for 5 minutes, then heat to dissolve.
  2. Add remaining V-8, onion, lemon juice and seasonings.
  3. Pour into a large ring mold, individual molds or loaf pan and refrigerate until set.
