Wilted Lettuce


  • 4 cups leaf lettuce
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons bacon bits
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper


  1. Tear lettuce into pieces.
  2. Bring remaining ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Pour hot mixture over lettuce in a bowl and toss to coat evenly.

Makes 4 servings.
