Green Goddess Dressing
Green Goddess Dressing originated in San Francisco.
Yield: 2 cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons instant minced onion
- 1/4 teaspoon each dry basil, dry rosemary, oregano leaves and savory leaves
- 1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper
- 1 cup crumbled Roquefort or other blue veined cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine buttermilk, parsley, onion, basil, rosemary, oregano, savory and garlic. Let stand for 5 minutes.
- With a wire whisk, beat in mayonnaise. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- If made ahead, cover and refrigerate for up to ten days. Just before serving, stir in cheese, if desired.
Notes
Dressing may be refrigerated in a covered container for up to 2 weeks.
