Fresh Cranberry Sauce

Fresh Cranberry Sauce

Yield: 2 1/4 cups; 2 tablespoons per serving

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (12 ounce) package Ocean Spray® Fresh or Frozen Cranberries*

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil; add cranberries, return to boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. If using vanilla extract, remove from heat and stir it in.
  3. Cover and cool completely at room temperature.
  4. Refrigerate until serving time.

Notes

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract may be added to mellow the tartness of the cranberries, if desired
