About 15 years ago or more, my sister Judy sent me a recipe box filled with recipes
that our family had been using since she was a kid (and she's 11 years older
than I am) and a few that were a little more "recent." This is the hot
dog sauce that made it to every party ever held by anyone in my family as well as
many of our friends.
1 pound ground beef
1 quart water
Brown ground beef, but DO NOT DRAIN.
Add water, then season to taste with remaining ingredients.
Cook 30 minutes and adjust seasonings as needed.
* Cumin would be a zippy little addition to this recipe.
