Cornmeal Gravy

  • 4 pieces side meat
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • Bread
  • Salt, to taste


  1. Fry meat to have enough grease to cover cornmeal. Add cornmeal and salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Brown meat in grease.
  3. Add milk, stir and let boil until thick.
  4. Serve hot over bread or dressing patties.
