Creamed Corn

Corn

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons bacon grease
  • 10 ears corn, grated and measured
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Liberal amount of pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and bacon grease in a heavy skillet.
  2. Add corn and water (to equal half the amount of corn) to skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook over low heat until thickened, about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
