Onion Rings

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon A-1 sauce
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Flour
  • Soda cracker crumbs
  • Onions, sliced in rings


  1. Beat egg with milk, A-1 sauce, salt and pepper.
  2. Dip each onion ring into batter, then into flour; back into batter, then into cracker crumbs.
  3. Put into a bowl with a tight fitting lid and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Deep fry the next day.
