Pistachio Munchies Mix

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shelled, roasted/salted California pistachios
  • 2 quarts popped popcorn

Instructions

  1. Place butter and onion soup mix in covered, microwave-safe, 4-cup glass bowl.
  2. Cook in microwave on HIGH for 1 1/2 minutes.
  3. Stir in pistachios.
  4. Place popcorn in large bowl. Toss lightly with butter-pistachio mixture.
  5. Serve warm.

Yield: 2 quarts popcorn or 8 servings

Per serving (per 1 cup): 185 calories; 14.9 g fat (5.3 g saturated fat; 72 percent calories from fat); 11.3 g carbohydrates; 12 mg cholesterol; 485 mg sodium; 3.8 g protein; 2.2 g fiber
