Sausage Chowder

Ingredients

  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 grated green bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 large can stewed tomatoes
  • 4 diced medium potatoes
  • 1 pound sausage (hot, medium or mild)
  • Enough water to make soupy
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 or 3 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Brown sausage; drain.
  2. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 45 minutes or until potatoes are done.
