Paprika Dumplings

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon paprika


  1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Add shortening and milk; blend lightly.
  3. Drop by spoonsful onto simmering stew or goulash.
  4. Sprinkle with paprika.
