Packer Stew
Ingredients
- 2 to 2 1/2 pounds round steak, trimmed and cut into small pieces
- 1 (17 ounce) can peas, drained
- 4 small onions, chopped
- 4 tablespoons tapioca
- 1 slice white bread, cubed
- 1 (4 ounce) can chopped mushrooms, drained
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups carrots, diced
- 3 to 4 large potatoes, diced
- 1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a large roaster. Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake at 250 degrees F for 5 hours.
