Tomato Consommé
Ingredients
- 4 cups tomato juice
- 2 cans undiluted condensed consommé
- 4 whole cloves
- 1/2 bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of basil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- Few celery tops
- Few parsley sprigs
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together; bring to boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.
- Strain through cheesecloth.
- Reheat and serve with slice of orange in each bowl.
